Wouter Kolk

Wouter Kolk is a seasoned campaign leader with extensive experience in advocacy, human rights, and political strategy. Currently serving as Campagneleider at Milieudefensie since August 2021, Wouter previously held the position of Campaign Director at Mighty Earth, where a significant achievement was developing the #StopFeedingDeforestation Campaign. As Head of Campaigns at PAX for Peace from 2011 to 2020, Wouter managed various initiatives focused on amplifying the voices of war victims and addressing human rights violations. Additional roles include advocacy management and board membership at the Foundation Max van der Stoel, as well as significant contributions in the Dutch Parliament as a Senior Foreign Policy Advisor and Political Secretary for the Labour Party. Wouter's foundational expertise in democracy training, media, and research is backed by a Master's degree in American Studies from the University of Groningen and further studies in American War History.
