Godard, PhD has over 15 years of experience in the aerospace industry. In 2003, they completed an Undergraduate Thesis at Boeing Toronto Ltd. and Ryerson University, where they developed wedge-shaped retrofit components for the trailing edge of a Boeing 737 airfoil to improve the lift-to-drag ratio by 240%. In 2004, they became a Research Scientist at the Space Avionics and Instrumentation Laboratory (SAIL) at Ryerson University, where they developed advanced intelligent signal processing routines to improve the accuracy of estimating sun position for use with digital sun sensors. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at Space Systems Dynamics and Control Laboratory, Ryerson University as a Project Manager for Industry Projects and a Doctoral Fellowship. Godard,'s Doctoral Dissertation was on Fault Tolerant Control of Spacecraft, and they developed a fault tolerant multiple spacecraft formation flying system and a novel attitude control scheme. From 2011 to 2015, they were at BlackBridge, a Planet Labs Company, where they were the VP - Project Management Office and Space Segment Lead. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Planet as the Director PMO. Finally, from 2017 to 2019, they were the COO and GM at Whipcord and the Chief Operating Officer at Verge.
Godard, PhD received a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) from Ryerson University in 2004, a Master of Science (MS) from Ryerson University in 2006, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Ryerson University in 2010, all in Aerospace Engineering.
