Scarlett Chen

Scarlett Chen is an advisor at Verge Capital Management. Scarlett has also worked as Beyond Ventures, Impulse4Women, MiiCare, Prudential Corporation Asia, Anbang Capital, Barclays, Barclays Capital, Merrill Lynch, and WR Hambrecht + Co.

Scarlett Chen has over 18 years of experience in the financial industry. Scarlett started their career as an analyst at WR Hambrecht + Co. and then moved to Merrill Lynch where they worked for seven years as a vice president. In 2011, they joined Barclays Capital as a vice president and then became a director at Barclays in 2013. Scarlett left Barclays in 2014 to join Anbang Capital as the Head of FIG and Executive Director.

In 2016, Scarlett Chen joined Prudential Corporation Asia as Managing Director. In their role, they looked for strategic investment and partnership opportunities with companies in the healthtech, insurtech and fintech space. Scarlett was also an intrapreneur, founding and leading a new technology business for Prudential, including setting up entity, securing regulatory licenses, developing product, and forming partnerships. Ms. Chen left Prudential in 2022 to join Verge Capital Management as an advisor.

Scarlett Chen obtained a BS in Computer Science from Stony Brook University. Scarlett then pursued an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
