Alessandra Leto

Alessandra Leto has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Alessandra is currently the Head of Talent at Verge Genomics, a start-up focused on using systems biology to develop treatments for neurodegenerative diseases. In this role, they use patient genomic data to identify new therapeutic gene targets and predict effective drugs.

Prior to their current position, Leto worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Drug Discovery & Translational Medicine division. Alessandra played a key role in discovering, developing, and delivering innovative medicines to patients fighting serious diseases.

Before joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Leto had a successful career at Aerotek. Alessandra first worked as a Scientific Recruiter, specializing in placing healthcare professionals within the Tampa Bay Area. Later, they became a Healthcare Account Manager, responsible for business development and staffing partnerships in the administrative and clinical healthcare industries.

Alessandra Leto attended Florida Atlantic University and completed their education in 2015, majoring in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Alessandra also studied Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Marquette University.
