Matthew Kragen

Matthew Kragen is a software engineer with experience at VCI (VeriCheck, Inc.) since March 2023 and previously at HQE Systems, Inc. from February 2022 to February 2023, where rapid adaptation to new technologies and leadership in project management tool adoption were key achievements. A graduate of Turing School of Software & Design's Back-End Engineering Program, Matthew has developed back-end applications, collaborated on full-stack projects, and utilized Agile methodologies. Prior to entering the software field, experience in the fitness industry as a certified personal trainer at ACE Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, and California State University San Marcos showcased skills in client management and personalized training. Earlier experience as an animal caregiver at San Diego Humane Society highlighted a commitment to animal care and welfare. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with an emphasis on Digital Research from California State University San Marcos and an Associate Degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences from Palomar College.
