Project Superintendent at Vericon Construction Company

Christian Detches has extensive work experience in various roles within the construction and administrative support industries.

Starting in 1996, Detches worked as a Carpenter at M&J Interiors for four years before moving on to Fleet Cementers Inc, where they served as a Crew Foreman from 2000 to 2005.

In 2005, Detches joined Geiger Construction as a Foreman/Carpenter, staying with the company until 2007. Christian then transitioned to Superior Wall Systems (SWS), where they worked as a Foreman until 2011.

Detches shifted gears and joined The Cheesecake Factory as a Shift Manager Assistant/Expeditor in 2013, remaining in this role for four years.

In 2017, Detches joined Amazon as a Front Line Supervisor, overseeing operations and implementing process improvements. Christian then progressed to the role of Administrative Support III – Central Flow Lead, where they developed and implemented administrative systems and controls.

Continuing their career in construction, Detches joined Sacon Commercial Construction in 2021 as a Project Superintendent, leading Upfit projects and managing the crew's training and workload.

Currently, Detches holds the position of Project Superintendent at Vericon Construction Company, where they take responsibility for material ordering, quality control, and problem-solving.

Throughout their career, Detches has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a focus on process improvement, and the ability to make quick, accurate decisions.

Christian Detches completed the UBC Union Apprenticeship Program from 1986 to 1990, earning a Journeyman Certificate in the field of study as an Interior Systems Steel Stud Framer/Drywaller. Additionally, in August 1990, they obtained a Journeyman Carpenters' Certificate from the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters.
