Aleksander Tsuiman

Aleksander Tsuiman has a diverse range of work experience in the legal and compliance field. Aleksander currently serves as the Head of Regulatory Compliance (Privacy & Product) at Veriff, where they lead and builds a team focused on privacy, data protection, and product counseling. In their previous role as Legal Counsel (Commercial & Privacy) at Veriff, they provided legal support in commercial and privacy matters. Aleksander is also involved in academia, serving as a Member of the Information Technology Law's Programme Council at the University of Tartu and as a Guest Lecturer at Riga Graduate School of Law. In the past, they have worked as a Senior Associate / Specialist Counsel and an Attorney/Associate at COBALT Legal, where they specialized in data protection and IT law. Aleksander has also gained international experience as a Law & Policy Branch Intern at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. Prior to these roles, they held positions as a Legal Assistant at CGI and as a Member of Supervisory Board at Eesti Üliõpilaskondade Liit.

Aleksander Tsuiman has a Master of Laws (MA) degree in Information Technology Law from the University of Tartu, which they obtained in 2020. Prior to this, they completed another Master of Laws (MA) degree at the same university from 2014 to 2016. Before pursuing their master's degrees, Aleksander earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Tartu, graduating in 2014. Aleksander also participated in an exchange program at the University of Vienna in 2015-2016, where they further studied law. Aleksander completed their high school education at Pärnu Sütevaka High School of Humanities from 2007 to 2010.
