Kevin Johnston has worked as a verification consultant at Verilab starting in 2006. Prior to that, they worked at Freescale Semiconductor from 1992 to 2005, where they were a Design Engineer. At Freescale Semiconductor, they redesigned clock management, debug, and DFT logic for a PowerPC processor core and designed clock management, power management, and JTAG/DFT logic for 2 embedded PowerPC SoCs. Before Freescale Semiconductor, they worked at Texas Instruments as a Design Engineer and Test Engineer from 1981 to 1991. At Texas Instruments, they were involved in system, board, and chip-level design, documentation, verification, and debug for various projects.

Kevin Johnston attended the University of Houston from 1976 to 1980, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
