Clarissa Lui

Clarissa Lui is a seasoned professional in the fields of hardware engineering and product development, currently serving as Developer Relations / Product / Senior Hardware Engineer at Verily Life Sciences since February 2017. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Instrument Design Engineer at Cepheid and Technical Lead at a Private Technology Company. Clarissa has a strong research background, having worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Massachusetts General Hospital, where contributions included the design and development of a portable life-detection instrument for NASA's 2018 Mars rover mission. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, Clarissa has extensive expertise in microfluidics, embedded systems, and biosensor technology.
