Dar Bahatt

Dar Bahatt is a seasoned optical and hardware engineer with extensive experience in scientific instrument development, specializing in applications such as DNA sequencing, protein detection, and various chromatographic techniques. Currently serving as a Senior Optics and Hardware Engineer at Verily Life Sciences since November 2021, Dar has also provided consulting services in scientific instrumentation since 2007. Previous roles include Senior Optics & System Engineer at Gener8 and Biodesy, Inc., and Principal Optics Engineer at Caliper Life Sciences. Dar's career began at Applied Biosystems and Perkin Elmer, contributing to the development of analytical and biological instrumentation. Dar holds a PhD and MSc in Chemical Physics, as well as a BSc in the same field from Tel Aviv University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University.
