Zulayne Vera, MD, CPC, CRC, currently serves as Associate Medical Director at veriMED IPA since May 2023, while also practicing as a Physician at veriMED Health Group since January 2022. With an extensive background in primary care and quality auditing, Zulayne Vera has held positions as a Primary Care Physician and Quality Auditor at various healthcare organizations since 2011. Key responsibilities include coordinating preventive services, documenting electronic health records (EHR), evaluating CMS quality measures, and educating patients about their health conditions. Zulayne Vera possesses a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Central del Este and a Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Additionally, experience includes coding and documentation in accordance with ICD-10 guidelines and HCC coding to optimize patient care outcomes and manage healthcare costs.
