Serkan Okter

Serkan OKTER has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Serkan is currently working as a Lead IT System Architect at Veritas Technologies LLC since February 2017. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Principal Technology Consultant at Veritas / Symantec from September 2013 to January 2017. Before joining Veritas / Symantec, Serkan worked at Symturk Ltd. as an Availability Solutions Manager from November 2012 to March 2013, and as a Senior Consultant from October 2010 to November 2012. Serkan also worked as a Backup & High Availability Consultant at Symantec from April 2009 to December 2010. Serkan's earlier work experience includes roles as a System Administrator at Parkyeri from September 2006 to January 2009, and as a Unix Support Engineer at Vodafone in 2009. Serkan began their career as an Operation Manager at NM Shipping from January 2004 to September 2006.

Serkan OKTER completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in the Department of Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University from 1993 to 1999. In addition, they obtained several certifications in various areas of data protection and administration, including Veritas and Symantec technologies, with the earliest certification obtained in 2011 and the latest in 2016.
