Bennett Blazei has a diversified work experience. Bennett started their career as a Summer Analyst at Barclays Capital in 2010. Bennett then joined Barclays Capital again in 2011 as an IT Data & Research Analyst for Securitized Products, before transitioning to the role of IT EQ Analyst for Equities Connectivity and Future in 2012. In 2012, they moved to Pico Quantitative Trading, where they served as the VP of Development until 2016. Since 2016, Bennett has been with Verition Fund Management LLC as a Lead Developer.
Bennett Blazei's education history begins in 2007 when they attended The Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania. Bennett obtained a B.S. in Economics with a focus on Finance from The Wharton School and a BSE in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. After a break, they resumed their studies in 2016 and earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018. In terms of additional certifications, Bennett became a CFA Level II Candidate through the CFA Institute in July 2016 and obtained the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in January 2016.
