Helen Yu

Helen Yu has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Helen is currently an Investment Analyst in the Fixed Income & Macro division at Verition Fund Management LLC. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Risk at New Holland Capital from April 2020 to December 2022. Before that, Helen worked as a Partner at Sonya Capital Management LLC from February 2018 to April 2020.

Helen's earlier experiences include various roles at Perry Capital, where they started as an Associate in Structured Credit from January 2008 to January 2010. Helen then moved on to become a Trader & Associate in Macro/Tail-Risk from January 2010 to January 2012. Eventually, they became the Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer from January 2012 to January 2018 at Perry Capital.

Before joining Perry Capital, Helen worked at UBS as a Structurer/Trader in the Adjustable-Rate Mortgages Trading Desk from February 2006 to October 2007. Helen began their career at Merrill Lynch as a Senior Specialist in Mortgages from July 2002 to March 2005.

Helen Yu has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. Helen then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute in May 2007.
