Sharon Leung Pliner

Sharon Leung Pliner has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Sharon currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer, APAC at Verition Fund Management LLC, starting in May 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Regional Business Manager, Asia at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. from December 2021 to May 2023.

From October 2019 to December 2021, Sharon was the Head of Global Consultant Relations and RFPs AxJ at BlackRock. Sharon also served as the ETF & Index Investing COO team and Head of APAC Center of Excellence at BlackRock from July 2012 to October 2019.

Before their time at BlackRock, Sharon worked as a Fixed Income Sales Business Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland Business from March 2010 to July 2012. Sharon began their career in the financial industry at Bloomberg, where they worked in Sales and Relationship Management from January 2007 to February 2010.

Sharon Leung Pliner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Biotechnology from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2001 to 2004.
