Joyce Fernandez

Joyce Fernandez has held roles in media operations and educational support, with current employment at Veritone One since May 2022. Previously, Joyce worked as a Qualcomm Institute Intern at UC San Diego from January 2021 to August 2022, focusing on an Augmented Reality project aimed at enhancing mental health and inclusion for isolated individuals during the pandemic through game development and design. In the summer of 2021, Joyce served as a Teaching Assistant for the Diamond Educational Excellence Partnership, supporting teachers in lesson planning and classroom management for students in kindergarten to 3rd grade. Joyce earned a Bachelor's degree in World Literature and Culture with a specialization in Media and Media Analysis, alongside minors in Creative Writing and Film/Cinema/Video Studies, all from UC San Diego.
