Veda W. has an extensive work experience in the field of information assurance and cybersecurity. Veda began their career in 1998 as a Federal Employee at the Federal Bureau of Investigations. In 1999, they took on various information assurance/cybersecurity positions within the private sector for a range of prime federal consultant organizations. In 2008, Veda W. founded and became the CEO of Protect Us Kids Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to protecting youth worldwide from cyber-related crimes. In 2015, they were appointed Director at Capital One, where they partnered with the Federal community to establish and maintain the firm's ability to utilize sensitive information in its analysis of targeted cyber threats. In 2017, Veda W. became the Executive Director, Global Head CTIS Risk, Threat Intel & Vulnerability Mgmt Oversight at Morgan Stanley. Finally, in 2022, they were appointed Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at VERITUITY.

Veda W. has a diverse educational background. In 2021, they completed the Sex Trafficking Advanced Victim Assistance Training (STAVAT) at the National Advocacy Leadership Center (NALC) Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA). In 2011, they earned a Gettysburg Leadership Training Certificate from The Lincoln Leadership Institute at Gettysburg. Veda W. holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Information Assurance from Norwich University, a Graduate Certificate in Public Health Informatics from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Systems Management from University of Maryland University College. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) from EC-Council and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA.
