Matt Cairns

Matt Cairns, CISSP, serves as a Principal Security Services Advisor at Verizon since July 2016, previously holding the position of Senior Security Services Advisor. In this role, Matt develops and maintains relationships with Enterprise clients for Managed Security Services, performs security incident analyses, and ensures client satisfaction with security solutions. His extensive experience includes security gap analysis, vulnerability assessments, and operational security management. Prior to this, Matt contributed as a volunteer consultant at Mateo and held various engineering roles at Verizon, MCI, and WorldCom, focusing on vendor contract management, system audits, and the deployment of secure networks. Matt holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems and multiple Associate's Degrees in Electronics Engineering Technology and Computer Engineering Technology.
