Steven E. Shaw

Steven E. Shaw is the Community Engagement Director at Verizon, where they focus on leveraging partnerships to maximize impact in education, workforce development, and entrepreneurship. With extensive experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors, Steven has held various leadership roles including Principal at TSC and Associate Principal at Civic Consulting Alliance. They served as a Senior Advisor for the State of Illinois, managing a $2 billion portfolio of community-based nonprofit service providers, and worked as Deputy Chief of Staff for Cook County Government. Steven also has a background in academia, having instructed courses at Cardinal Stritch University. Currently, they are pursuing a Master in Public Administration at Harvard Kennedy School while holding a BA in Economics from Morehouse College.
