Qibang Zhu

Qibang (Oliver) Zhu is a skilled researcher and developer specializing in computer vision and algorithms, with experience in various prominent companies. Currently serving as a Capstone Project Researcher at Honda since January 2023, Qibang focuses on training classifiers for rare road scene identification and improving semantic segmentation accuracy. Previous roles include an Algorithm Intern at Ambarella Inc., where Qibang developed a multi-task model for autonomous vehicle perception, and a Perception Research Assistant at MIT Driverless, where Qibang trained models for high-speed object detection. Additionally, Qibang has contributed to medical imaging research at Vanderbilt University, worked as a Back End Developer at State Grid NARI Group Corporation, and interned at Lenovo and Qianhai Institute for Innovative Research. Qibang holds a Master's in Computer Vision from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Math from Vanderbilt University.
