Scott Steber

Scott Steber is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in hardware engineering. Currently serving as Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Verkada since January 2019, Scott oversees a world-class engineering organization responsible for several rapidly growing product lines. Prior roles at Verkada include Director of Hardware Engineering and Manager of Product Design Mechanical Engineering, where Scott played a key role in building the mechanical engineering department and enhancing product development. Prior to Verkada, Scott co-founded and served as CTO of Pearl, a YCombinator-backed startup focused on hardware-enabled coffee services. Additional experience includes Director of Engineering at Radicand, Inc., where Scott led engineering teams in developing innovative hardware products, as well as teaching and mentoring graduate design teams at Stanford University. Scott holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and Boston University, respectively.
