Jacob Hemmerick currently serves as the Mayor of the City of Barre, Vermont since March 2020 and is a Ward 1 City Councilor. In addition to these roles, Jacob has been the Community Planning and Policy Manager for the State of Vermont since January 2018. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Planning & Economic Development, Development Review Town Planner, and ICMA Management Fellow for the Town of Milton, Vermont from April 2013 to September 2017. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration, both from the University of Dayton.
