Nate Formalarie has extensive experience in communications and strategic initiatives, currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Housing and Community Development for the State of Vermont since November 2018. Prior roles include Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives for the Agency of Commerce and Community Development and Communications Director for the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing. Nate's background in communications also encompasses positions as Communications Manager at Cabot Creamery Cooperative and Vermont Hard Cider Company, along with a foundational role as a News Producer and Video Editor at WCAX-TV. Nate began a career in the hospitality industry as a Ski Instructor at Bolton Valley. Nate holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Saint Michael's College, earned between 2000 and 2004.
