Steve Short serves as the Associate Director of Beneficiary Fraud for the State of Vermont Department of Vermont Health Access since September 2012. In this role, Steve leads a team of three investigators dedicated to combating fraud, waste, and abuse within the Medicaid program, collaborating with various state and federal agencies including the OIG, DEA, and CMS. Steve's education includes training at an Indianapolis military computer training facility from 1988 to 1990 and a certification as a Program Integrity Professional from the Medicaid Integrity Institute.
