Craig Stevens is an experienced health care and public health professional with over 25 years in the field. Currently serving as the District Director at the Vermont Department of Health since April 2024, previous roles include Senior Consultant at Stevens Consulting and JSI, focusing on health care infrastructure development and service delivery reform. Stevens has also held key positions at the Vermont Department of Health, including Chief of the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care, where efforts concentrated on workforce and infrastructure development. Additional experience includes directorships at the University of Vermont's Office of Primary Care and the Area Health Education Center Program, as well as serving as the State HIV/AIDS Director. Stevens holds a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Health Policy and Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
