Lawrence Micallef

Lawrence Micallef is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in managing IT environments and service delivery. Currently serving as Infrastructure Manager at Vernalis since October 2009, Lawrence oversees helpdesk operations, vendor management, and network infrastructure, with ongoing projects focused on backup and disaster recovery improvements and virtualization. In addition to the role at Vernalis, Lawrence is a volunteer Technical and Production Engineer at Cambridge 105, co-hosting shows such as Gadget Guide and Weekend Waffle. As the owner of LM Consultancy Ltd, Lawrence operates a small IT consultancy. Previous roles include Interim IT Manager for Vistec Lithography, where Lawrence established new IT infrastructure during a company move, and IT Manager positions at Vistec Lithography and Vistec Semiconductor Systems GmbH, as well as Leica Microsystems. Lawrence holds a B.Com degree in IT from the University of South Africa and has held various technical and managerial positions throughout a career that began in 1994.
