Bill Blevins has extensive work experience in the field of elastomeric materials and engineering. Bill currently holds the position of Chief Chemist at Vernay, where they manage the R&D team and provides material recommendations, develops new technologies, and conducts material testing to support manufacturing facilities globally. Prior to their current role, Bill worked at Parker Hannifin for over two decades, holding various positions such as Division Engineering Manager, Division R&D Manager, Lab Manager, and Process Chemist/Sr. Chemist. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership skills, successfully turning around struggling labs, closing elastomer mixing facilities, and managing lab renovations. Bill's expertise also includes formulating various types of elastomers, building relationships with customers and suppliers, and improving tool design efficiency. Bill began their career as an Engineering CO-OP at Fayette Tubular Products.
Bill Blevins obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, completing their education between 1992 and 1996.
