David Hess

Manufacturing / Tool Engineer at Vernay Laboratories, Inc.

David Hess has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. From 2023 onwards, they have been employed as a Manufacturing/Tool Engineer at Vernay, where they are responsible for toolmaking and manufacturing processes. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2023, they worked as a Toolmaker at the same company.

Before joining Vernay, David was the owner of Triumph Tool and Design from 2020, where they sought new work opportunities and problem-solving ventures. From 2017 to 2020, they were employed at Dinex Emission Inc as a New Product Development Engineer and Design Manager, leading product development projects and managing a team.

David also had entrepreneurial experience as the owner of Metric Thunder LLC from 2015 to 2019, where they acquired a motorcycle accessory internet retailer and started a local storefront. Earlier in their career, they worked as a New Product Development Engineer at Vernay Lab Inc from 2005 to 2015, specializing in elastomeric flow control product development.

David also served as a Tool Design Engineer at Ohio Valley Automation from 2003 to 2005 and briefly worked as an Engineering Manager at Innova in 2003. Additionally, they worked as a Packaging Engineer at Advanced Packaging in 2003 and as a Design Engineer at International Truck and Engine from 2002 to 2003. In these roles, they gained experience in designing returnable packaging and steel racks for various products.

David Hess attended Sinclair Community College from 1982 to 2002, where they studied Industrial and Product Design. Additionally, from 1982 to 1985, they also pursued a program in Tool and Die Technology at Sinclair Community College. However, no specific degrees were obtained during these educational experiences.
