Melissa Hill

Melissa has seven years of teaching experience, and her courses included general chemistry, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and spectroscopy for undergraduate and graduate college students. She earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from St. Edward’s University and her PhD in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of California at Davis. Melissa’s dissertation focused on time-resolved spectroscopy of proteins that ranged from femtoseconds to hours.

Serving on Vernier’s Health and Wellness committee, Melissa helps to organize Vernier’s annual summer fitness challenge. Melissa also volunteers at Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals, assisting with pet adoptions and with the care of rescued animals.
