Tanya L. Ellingwood

Tanya L. Ellingwood, is the Director of Social Services at Vernon Manor Health Care Center. Tanya has been the Director since 2005. Tanya holds a Master’s Degree from UCONN’s School of Social Work where she completed her degree in an accelerated manner in 1 year, attending Eastern Connecticut State University holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work as well. Tanya completed her internship at Vernon Manor in 2004 with Vernon Manor hiring her directly from that Internship to her current position. During her years at Eastern Connecticut State University Tanya was a social worker at the Youth Service Bureau in Vernon, CT working at the High School and Elementary levels as well as spending time at the Alternative Incarceration Center in Willimantic, CT. Tanya has a deep passion with supporting the residents psychosocial conditions with connecting to available resources for long term stay or discharge planning.
