Amy Engelkins serves as the Director of Secondary Education and College & Career Pathways at Verona Area School District since July 2022. Prior to this role, Amy Engelkins accumulated significant experience at Madison Metropolitan School District from November 2013 to July 2022, where responsibilities included Principal, School Improvement Partner, and Professional Learning Coordinator. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Spanish from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and a Master of Education in Urban Teacher Master's Program in Secondary Education from the University of Pennsylvania.

The Verona Area School District is a public K-12 school district just outside of Madison, Wisconsin with approximately 5,600 students and 800+ staff. The schools include modern, up-to-date library media centers, computer labs, Internet access to all classrooms, and attractive, adaptable instructional classroom settings.
