Alfredo Vargas has a diverse work experience in software engineering and technology roles. Alfredo started their career as a Student Engineer intern at LADWP, where they worked on the Transformer Monitoring Unit project, utilizing data analysis and business intelligence tools to create real-time and historical reports. Alfredo then interned as a Software Engineering Intern at Goldman Sachs. Later, at Goldman Sachs, they worked as an Analyst, contributing to the development of the central knowledge graph and delivering insights on big data to teams across the firm. Alfredo also served as an Associate, leading pods of engineers and collaborating with designers, user researchers, and product managers to build user-centered features for a B2B SaaS platform.
In addition to their software engineering roles, Alfredo served as the Regional Director for California State University Long Beach at SCS Noonan Scholars and as a Resident Assistant of Technology at California State University-Long Beach. Alfredo also participated in the Code2040 fellowship as a Fellow, Tech Trekker. Alfredo's most recent work experience is set to be at Versana, where they will work as a Software Engineer starting in 2023. Throughout their career, Alfredo has demonstrated their expertise in full-stack development, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and data analysis.
Alfredo Vargas completed their high school education from Lawndale High between the years 2011 and 2015. Alfredo earned a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates degree during this time. Afterward, they attended California State University, Long Beach from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
