Tony Versaci

Managing Director Product Strategy at Versana

Tony Versaci has extensive experience in the financial industry. Tony started their career in 1996 at GE Capital, where they served as a Senior Vice President. In this role, they actively traded GE's $30 billion par and distressed bank debt portfolios, executed over 2,100 leveraged loan trades totaling over $7 billion, and maintained strong relationships with sell-side institutions and buy-side accounts.

In 2007, Tony joined FirstLight Financial Corporation as a Managing Director - Trading. Tony was responsible for establishing a secondary sourcing and trading platform, sourcing secondary opportunities in the leveraged loan space, and providing market intelligence and trading recommendations to senior management and portfolio managers. Tony also contributed to setting up necessary systems, compliance, and operational processes.

From 2008 to 2016, Tony worked at Deutsche Asset Management as a Director. Tony was accountable for trading and portfolio management of $5.0 billion non-investment grade leverage loans and bonds. Tony actively managed 16 portfolios comprising 400+ credits on behalf of CLOs, retail funds, and separately managed accounts.

In 2017, Tony joined BLACK DIAMOND CAPITAL MANAGEMENT as a Managing Director. Tony held this role until 2022, overseeing various responsibilities within the company.

Most recently, in 2022, Tony joined Versana as the Managing Director of Product Strategy.

Tony Versaci attended Niskayuna High School from 1983 to 1987. Tony then enrolled at Siena College from 1987 to 1988, but did not obtain a degree or specialize in a specific field. From 1988 to 1991, Tony pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Sociology at Union College. Subsequently, they obtained an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University at Albany, SUNY, between 1994 and 1996.
