Chris Wilson

Chris Wilson, MBA has extensive experience in the field of information technology. Chris has held various leadership positions throughout their career, demonstrating their ability to manage and build efficient and effective IT departments.

Starting in 1994, they worked at Unisys as a C3-Consultant, where they developed software and supported network and systems. Chris was given three promotions during their tenure.

In 1998, they joined INSpire Insurance Solutions as a Senior Programmer/Analyst, providing development and support for the property and casualty insurance department. Chris also worked on an international project in Brazil.

From 1999 to 2000, Chris worked at Fleet Mortgage as a Senior Programmer/Analyst, followed by a role at The South Financial Group as AVP-Information Technology from 2000 to 2005.

In 2005, they joined backgroundchecks.com as Director of Information Technology, where they rebuilt the IT organization and directed the rebuilding of core platforms, data services, and eCommerce sites.

Chris then moved on to General Information Services (GIS) in 2012, serving as the Director of Software Support & Administration before taking on the role of Director of Network & System Administration. In these positions, they led various teams and rebuilt departments with a focus on career paths and integrating technology for increased productivity and success.

Most recently, they joined Versaterm in 2018 as the Director of Information Technology, overseeing software development, technical support, database administration, and technical/cloud operations. Chris also served as the Technical Lead for statewide IT solutions projects and law enforcement agencies.

Throughout their career, Chris has shown a strong understanding of IT operations and has consistently demonstrated their ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

Chris Wilson, MBA, has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Western Carolina University. Chris earned this degree from 1992 to 1994. Prior to their MBA, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from the same university, specializing in Marketing/Marketing Management, General, from 1988 to 1992.
