Don Moody

Don Moody has worked in the legal and technology industries since 1995. In 1995, they began working as an I.T. Consultant, specializing in database, systems integration, and CRM/ERP. In 1998, they became the Manager of Strategic Alliances at eFax.com, where they were responsible for business development and strategic alliance management with technology and marketing partners. In 2004, they began working as an attorney at Genga & Associates P.C. In 2012, they co-founded The IP & Technology Legal Group, P.C., where they served as a partner. From 2017 to 2022, they were the General Counsel and Director of Compliance at Cliq Pay, a FinTech and Blockchain payment solutions provider. Don was responsible for drafting terms and conditions, privacy policies, software licenses and other contracts, managing outside litigation/ADR counsel, intellectual property prosecution (patent, trademark) and handling corporate/LLC filings as company Secretary. Most recently, they have been the General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at VERSES, a fast-growing provider of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and contextual computing products and services.

Don Moody received their J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law in 2003. In 2007, they were granted an Attorney certification from the Supreme Court of the United States. Don also holds a Master of Science, Computer Information Systems from Boston University. Additionally, they are a Registered Patent Lawyer from the USPTO, a Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, an Ofc. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) from ACAMS, and an Ofc. Certified HIPAA Professional from ecfirst.
