Valerie Thompson

Valerie Thompson has over 20 years of work experience in project management and consulting roles. Valerie began their career in 1999 at American Management Systems (AMS), where they held various positions including Senior Consultant and Technical Manager for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Valerie also served as the Project Manager for the installation of Momentum at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) while at AMS.

In 2005, Valerie joined CGI Federal and continued their work as a Project Manager, specifically leading the USPTO Financial Management Application Upgrade and serving as the CGI Project Manager for the USPTO. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as the Director of Consulting Services and Commerce Account Manager at CGI Federal, where they managed ongoing system maintenance and helpdesk support for the USPTO. Valerie was also responsible for staff career development, customer relationships, project financials, and risk mitigation.

Valerie joined the 2010 IAC Partners Program as an Industry Fellow, and in the same year, they started working at Versivo as the Director of Business Development.

Throughout their career, Valerie has demonstrated strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a focus on customer satisfaction. Their experience spans across various industries, including government, finance, and consulting.

Valerie Thompson, PMP obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from Bucknell University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, they have obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2004.
