Gary Hess

Gary Hess is an accomplished IT project management professional with extensive experience in leading project teams across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Manager of IT Project Management at Speedway LLC since March 2020, Gary oversees all project managers and contract resources, focusing on budget management, prioritization, and performance evaluations. Prior to this role, Gary held the position of Senior IT Manager for Enterprise Systems at Verso Corporation, consulting on corporate strategy related to Sales and HR systems. Gary's previous experience includes serving as Director/Senior Manager of Project Management at NewPage Corporation, where leadership of corporate project managers and communication of project initiatives to executive leadership were key responsibilities. Earlier roles include Senior IT Project Manager at NewPage Corporation and Sr Project Manager at Reynolds and Reynolds, where significant achievements included leading a $10 million Manufacturing Excellence program and managing the SAP CRM initiative. Gary holds an M.B.A. in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Wright State University.
