Vinoda Basnayake

Vinoda Basnayake is the CEO and founder of Versus Equity and a managing partner at VS Global. They previously served as a partner and chair of the District of Columbia Government Relations Practice at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP from 2014 to 2022, and as a Special Advisor at Patton Boggs LLP (2008–2014). Earlier in their career, Basnayake worked as a Financial Consultant at The World Bank (2003–2005) and as Interim Director for International Gateway, International Trade Center (2006). They earned a B.S. in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University (1999–2003), a Certificate of Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School (2005–2008), and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (2005–2008).
