Jamie Smith

Jamie Smith is the current Chief Finance Officer at Vertas Group Limited. Before joining Vertas, Jamie served as Deputy Chief Executive and Board Member at Swan Housing Group, where they were responsible for finance, treasury, governance, risk, procurement, health & safety, and asset management. During their time at Swan Housing Group, Jamie renegotiated the terms of the company's 500 million pound bank facility, issued a 250 million pound 30 year bond at one of the lowest rates to date, and secured 80 million pounds of project finance. Jamie also played a key role in Swan securing two of the largest housing regeneration schemes in the UK. In addition to their work at Swan Housing Group, Jamie is also a Board Member of Purfleet Centre Regeneration Limited, a joint venture established to regenerate the Purfleet area of Thurrock, which will involve the creation of a new town centre, primary and secondary school, film studios, medical centre, and 2,800 new homes. Prior to their work at Swan Housing Group, Jamie served as Finance Director at Haden Young from July 2008 to October 2009, and as Group Financial Controller at Balfour Beatty plc from May 2003 to July 2008.

Jamie Smith has a bachelor's degree in economics and business economics from the University of Hull.
