Caroline Bate has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and positions. Caroline started their career at Alfred McAlpine as a Graduate in 2004. Caroline then worked at Jaguar Land Rover as a Human Resources Manager from 2005 to 2015. After that, they joined Johnson Controls as a Human Resources Manager from 2015 to 2016. Caroline further worked at Adient as an HR Manager from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Aurorium as the Vice President of Human Resources and later took on the same role at Vertellus. At Vertellus, they have held multiple roles including European Human Resources Director, Global Human Resources Director, and Vice President Human Resources.

Caroline Bate completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Newcastle University from 1997 to 2000. Caroline also pursued further education at the same university during this period. In 2004, they enrolled at The Open University, where they earned a Professional Certificate in Management, specializing in the field of Management from 2004 to 2006. Later, in 2005, they attended De Montfort University, where they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management, focusing on Human Resources, from 2005 to 2007. Prior to their university studies, Caroline Bate attended Merchant Taylor's School for Girls from 1990 to 1997.
