Alan Salman

Alan Salman is an experienced medicinal chemist currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since August 2020, previously held the position of Research Associate II. Prior to this role, Alan worked as an Associate Chemist at Concept Life Sciences from October 2019 to July 2020. Earlier experience includes an Undergraduate Research Fellowship at The University of British Columbia, collaborating with Professor Stephen Withers on potential diabetes and obesity drug synthesis, and a summer internship at The Institute of Cancer Research under Professor Caroline Springer, focusing on the synthesis and physicochemical property determination of anti-cancer compounds. Alan earned a degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from Imperial College London between 2015 and 2019.
