Allison Lord

Allison Lord, PhD, currently serves as Associate Director of Medical Writing Science at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since April 2020, with previous positions including Senior Manager for both Publications and Global Medical Communications at the same company. Prior experience encompasses roles such as Senior Manager of Scientific Writing at Wave Life Sciences, Science Writer at RA Capital Management, and Medical Writer at Massachusetts General Hospital. Additionally, Allison held a Contract Scientific Writer position at JoVE and completed a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at Boston University, where a Doctoral Candidate role was undertaken from 2008 to 2014. Earlier education includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston College.
