Amar Sharma

Amar Sharma is a highly experienced pharmaceutical professional currently serving as VP and Head of Clinical & Quantitative Pharmacology at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since January 2025. Previously, Amar held the position of Industry Advisor in Life-sciences at Tata Consultancy Services for a brief period and worked as an Independent Biopharmaceutical Consultant. From August 2013 until February 2024, Amar was with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, where responsibilities included leading clinical development efforts in Japan across multiple therapeutic areas and providing comprehensive support in global clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics. Amar's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science from the University at Buffalo and an M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutics from Banaras Hindu University.
