Badr Kiaf

Badr KIAF is currently an Immunology Senior Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since August 2023. Previously, Badr held the position of Scientist/Sr Scientist in the Pre-Clinical Department at TScan Therapeutics from February 2022 to August 2023. Before this, Badr served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University from February 2018 to February 2022, focusing on the role of T regulatory immune populations in Type 1 Diabetes development. Additional experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at INSERM and a PhD at Sorbonne University, where the main research project involved the role of Mucosal Associated Invariant T (MAIT) cells in obesity-related inflammation and Type 2 Diabetes. Badr’s educational background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, a PhD in Biology from Université Paris Cité, and master’s degrees in Advanced Immunology from Pasteur Institute and Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Sorbonne University.
