Brendan Reed

Brendan Reed is an accomplished professional in the field of immunology with extensive experience spanning various roles in academia and industry. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Medical Affairs at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since September 2025, Brendan has previously held significant positions including Consulting Immunologist at SaponiQx and Principal Scientist at GlycoEra AG. Throughout the career, Brendan has focused on vaccine and adjuvant development, targeted protein degradation in rare diseases, and advanced scientific communications. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Immunology from the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and a B.S. in Biology from St. Lawrence University, Brendan has contributed to groundbreaking research on antigen processing in autoimmune diseases and T cell receptor structure.
