Dan Johnson

Dan Johnson is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as the Vice President of North America New Product Planning at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since June 2009, Dan leads the team responsible for development strategies, launch plans, and organizational build-outs for new disease areas in the US and Canada. Prior roles at Vertex include overseeing the US launch planning for genetic therapies, leading Patient Services for Cystic Fibrosis Medicines, and holding positions in commercial strategic planning and corporate strategy. Dan's career began with roles at Pfizer and Eli Lilly, focusing on portfolio analysis and decision sciences. Dan holds a Master's degree in Engineering Economic Systems & Operations Research from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Colorado College.
