Jake Janey

Jake Janey is an experienced professional in the fields of data technology and engineering, currently serving as the Senior Director of Data Technology & Engineering at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since June 2021. Previously, Jake held multiple positions at Bristol Myers Squibb from July 2011 to June 2021, including Scientific Director and Research Fellow, focusing on Automation, Catalysis, and Biocatalysis in Chemical & Synthetic Development. Jake's career also includes roles at Merck from 2003 to June 2011, where significant contributions were made in developing manufacturing routes for late-stage drug candidates. Educationally, Jake earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Harvard University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.
