Khadija Iken

Khadija Iken, MS, PhD, currently serves as a Pharmacology Principal Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since 2021, having previously held the position of Senior Research Scientist. In conjunction with this role, Khadija consults for Immunology-Pharmacology, providing strategic scientific expertise for immunology and pharmacology programs. Prior experience includes a Scientist role at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, focusing on respiratory diseases and translational research, as well as a Senior Research Scientist and Lab Manager position at Boston Children's Hospital, where Khadija investigated novel therapies for inflammatory and metabolic diseases. Earlier career roles include Research Fellow positions at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, focusing on immune responses and T cell immunology. Khadija earned a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Université de Montréal.
