Liyu Yang

Liyu Yang is a highly experienced professional in bioanalysis and drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK), currently serving as Director to Senior Research Fellow at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since March 2016. Prior experience includes a tenure at Biogen from 2004 to November 2015, where Liyu managed teams providing bioanalytical and biomarker support, leading to accelerated project development and reduced costs. Liyu's earlier roles at Schering-Plough Research Institute involved building and managing a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) bioanalytical laboratory, while a brief position as a Visiting Scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory focused on advanced mass spectrometry techniques. Liyu holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and multiple degrees in Chemistry, including a Ph.D. from Iowa State University.
