Solange Valdes

Solange Valdes is a highly experienced formulation scientist with a strong background in developing advanced pharmaceutical formulations. Currently serving as a Formulation Senior Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since August 2021, Solange specializes in stable and bioavailable oral and parental formulations. Previously, Solange worked at Parallel, focusing on targeted micro and nano-medicine formulations, and held a position as a Senior Scientist Trainee at Haima Therapeutics, where the emphasis was on synthetic nanoparticle-based hemostatic technology. Earlier experiences include a Research Fellow role at TherapeUtex, extensive doctoral research at The University of Texas at Austin on solid lipid nanoparticles, and research assistant positions at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad de Chile. Solange holds a Bachelor's degree in Bioquímica from Universidad de Chile and is pursuing further education at The University of Texas at Austin.
